About Us
63 Tay Street
. . . the best quality ingredients from local sources.
Leading on from 63 being run since 2007 by Graeme Pallister, heading up the kitchen now is Perthshire born Stuart Black. Originally from Aberfeldy, Stuart began his career as a chef in 2002, working up and down the UK gaining invaluable experience of different cuisines. Working in quality restaurants such as The Elderflower Restaurant, Lymington, and Knockderry House Hotel, he brings a different offering and a wealth of passion for pure and simple cooking. He also previously worked under Graeme at The Parklands Hotel, Perth for 2 years, and has found his way back after his journeys away.
Stuart has a humble but confident approach to cooking, focusing on using quality ingredients, and a philosophy on creating memories for our guests that they will talk about for years to come.

Owner & Restaurant Manager, Christopher Strachan, who like Stuart, hails from Perthshire, will look after you from the moment you open our door till you step back out.
Christopher has vast experience from great venues such as The Three Chimneys on the Isle of Skye, Driftwood Hotel in Cornwall, & two michelin-starred The Hand and Flowers in Buckinghamshire. If he isn’t filling your boots with his charm and customer service, he will be filling your glasses with his extensive passion for wine.
We are a situated on the banks of the River Tay with stunning views across Kinnoull Hill in the perfect historical city of Perth. With ample parking right outside you can arrive relaxed and then fully enjoy our light and airy restaurant whilst tasting the best of the Scottish larder, award winning wine list, locally roasted coffee, and the worlds best spirits.
